Rents to Rise Quicker than House Prices
According to Savills, rental prices are set to increase in a big way over the next 5 years, much faster than house prices.
Rents are estimated to go up by 19% on average in that time, whereas house prices will increase by 13%. London will see the biggest difference where rent will rise by 24.5%, and house prices by only 10.9%.
Savills has also predicted average house prices will decrease in some areas, where Scotland and the North East will be down 2.5%.
